  • Delighted customer - 2017 Honda CR V

Well thought out - vastly improved interior and materials compared to earlier CR-Vs. I was initially scared that the 1.5 liter turbocharged engine would struggle on family trips especially in comparison to our previous V6 equipped Odyssey. Sure, it lacks slightly when it comes to low end torque but it had no problem keeping up with traffic on a recent trip to NY which included steep sections on the interstate with 4 occupants and lots of luggage!

  • Honda CR-V 2017 Plagued with TPMS issues - 2017 Honda CR V
    By -

I would not advise purchasing the vehicle. It is so new that dealerships do not know how to repair issues with the car. I have taken my car for the same TPMS issue that has occurred 5 times and they are still unable to fix the issue. Now I am stuck waiting for a specialist to come out within 1-2 weeks with one day warning to get my car into the dealership. They have replaced all my tires and admit to not knowing what is going on. The dealership now says it is between me and corporate honda. corporate honda is unwilling to provide me a loaner car. Even though tpms is required by law.

This is the best mid-level SUV you can buy for the money... Honda rocks...

  • Great car but terrible front seat. - 2017 Honda CR V
    By -

This is my first Honda and I thought I would love it. But the front drivers seat is so uncomfortable that it is a torture to drive it more than 20 miles. My right hip and lower back hurt so bad it takes all the fun out driving. Everything else in the car is great. I love all the safety features but I might have to take a financial loss and try a different car.

  • Poor exterior fit and finish - 2017 Honda CR V

Fenders, hood are misaligned. Large and uneven gaps. Adjacent sheet metal surfaces do not flow together. Excessive panel adhesive on interior of all doors leaves raised rough surfaces. Other than crude finish, seems to be a decent car. After three weeks of ownership, Ill see what the dealership will do. Wish me luck! Update to dealer visit: According to dealer tech, I will have to live with the poor build quality. Also, your CR-V, came out of Canada and does not have the quality of 2016 and previous generations. Look around the lot, the 2017s arent that well made. If we try to improve alignment of hood and fenders, we could make it worse. What a great buying experience. I will get into a Chevy, sooner than later.

  • Best SUV for the city - 2017 Honda CR V

I wanted an SUV that was short and had a backup camera so that I could easily park it. The CR-V fit the bill. I couldnt find my preferred color in 2WD, so I got the AWD version. Gas mileage doesnt meet up with the EPA expectation, but is great for any SUV. Im most impressed with how effortless it is to drive - easy steering, excellent brakes. Another standout is the Apple CarPlay. Its integration is the simplest, most straight-forward that Ive seen. The safety features are great, as are little things like the cap-less gas filler, heated front seats, rear cover that moves up to make a flat surface with the rear seats folded down, etc.

  • Vastly Improved.... - 2017 Honda CR V

Other shoppers should know before buying this CR-V that its a huge improvement over the outgoing model, in looks, quality and ride handling. The CR-V does many things well. The seats are some of the most comfortable Honda offers, the looks present a more formidable appearance and the ride feels secure at highway speeds and handling is pretty decent. Underneath the hood is a 190 HP 1.5 Turbo engine with a CVT transmission. Acceleration is very good for a vehicle in this category and as good as that CVT unit is, nothing will take the place of a geared transmission. Inside, several things Id like to see added for the price point of the touring are a Heated Steering wheel, ventilated seats and a panoramic sunroof. A CD player has been left out of this generation!! Really? All in all, the CRV does what its supposed to do, looking and feeling good the whole time. One place, for me at least where I would like to see some improvement and it may come in time is an increase in fuel economy. Im not seeing the #s advertised. Usually 27.8 has been close to my avg with highway driving pushing 30mpg.

  • Feelin Right at Home! - 2017 Honda CR V

From the test drive to almost two thousand miles of driving this vehicle, I feel more comfortable and in control than I have in previous cars I have owned for a few years. I can manuever into extremely small, tight places with ease. I can park amazingly well using the rear view camera, The ride is so wonderfully smooth and quiet. I feel so safe with my nine and seven year old in the rear seat, and my two Standard Poodles teathered in the hatch. When I walk out of the grocery store, I cant help but giggle a little inside realizing that the strikingly beautiful, shiny car parked in the lot is actually mine!!
